On 1 July 2008, WorkCover launched the Drought Recovery Assistance Program to help improve farm safety through incentives for drought-affected businesses. The package includes enhancements to the Tractor Power Take Off (PTO) rebate and Safer Silos rebate and an expansion of the Small Business Safety Solutions Rebate Program.

The PTO safety program provides a full cost rebate, up to the value of $200, to NSW farmers who purchase PTO guarding for their tractors and equipment.
