David and his wife live at Armidale and they have two adult daughters. His personal interests include family and flying.
David has 12 years practical experience as a rural financial counsellor. He began his working life as a livestock buyer and station hand before joining the Commonwealth Development Bank of Australia. He spent 21 years in the banking industry and has worked all over NSW.
His formal qualifications include a Diploma in Community Services (Financial Counselling) and a Diploma in Agriculture (Hawkesbury Agricultural College). Email David Abbott

Originally from Sydney, David spent most of his eleven years as a bank officer in rural New South Wales and Papua New Guinea.
Since moving to Armidale 20 years ago he has been involved in small business administration and accounts management for much of that time.
David had several years experience as Administration Assistant to a Rural Financial Counsellor before joing us as a part-time counsellor.
David's weekend activities include church involvement as a lay preacher, family history research and gardening.
He is married with three adult children and two grandchildren.
