Michelle has recently joined the Rural Financial Counselling Service to provide assistance to all farmers to become sustainable and develop their business, focusing largely on succession planning activities.
Having recently worked as a Technical Farm Services Officer for Dairy Farmers and subsequently National Foods, Michelle is actively involved in the Dairy Industry.
Believing anyone can make it and own a farm: Michelle runs a small dairy with her business partner , Brett, at Wingham and volunteers her time to the local Mid Coast Dairy Advancement Group.
Having moved from Northern Victoria where Michelle worked in senior agronomy roles in the Fertiliser and Seed industry her love of pastures is infectious. Although she does confess, this time allowed her some interesting insights into the horticultural industries and broad acre cropping, cow grass utilisation is her passion.
Michelle has a Bachelor Of Science in Agriculture ( University Of Sydney ) and a Diploma Of Business ( Human Resources – Dairy ) which she completed whilst working nights throughout the course.
Michelle is sole parent to William 6 and enjoys swimming , horse riding and collie dogs.
